Theta

Theta method.

Fields

• theta: Float, default = 0.5

  If $\theta=0$ the method is equivalent to forward Euler so theta has to be strictly larger than zero.

  If $\theta=1$ the method is equivalent to backward Euler.

  If $\theta=0.5$ the method is equivalent to the mid-point implicit rule, which is 2nd-order accurate (default).
